External Description:
The role is responsible for
- the coordination, fulfilment and delivery of digital content to affiliates partners through coordination with internal and external business partners.
- the communication of programming changes
- the creation of an entire playlist, including placing all programming, promotions, and secondary events.
Metadata / EPG
- Video-On-Demand (VOD) scheduling support for Director or Programming & Acquisitions, developing programming and promotional strategies
- Ensure VOD content and plans are properly entered and maintained in programming system/database
- Responsible for programme metadata maintenance, system entry and subsequent manual creation of metadata files for delivery to all VOD partners
- Ensure that all aspects of localization by vendors (ie languaging or subtitling) for affiliates are met per affiliate specifications
- Ensure delivery of material assets to affiliates after appropriate QC process
- Execute and monitor linear channel schedule changes ensuring content material delivery and metadata to affiliates for Catch-Up
- Responsible for the Linear channel EPG coordination between the different vendors for EPG generation and translation
Programming
- Assist the Programming Executive in the scheduling of non-prime day parts
- Help Programming Executive / Manager with the changes to grids and content planners where necessary and communicate changes with all relevant stake holders of the change
- Assist in report submission by data gathering with respective stakeholders.
- Rights check management
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned
Presentation Scheduling
- Create and deliver accurate presentation schedules to tight Playout deadlines
- Have an in-depth understanding of monthly Planning Grid and key programming priorities. Ensure that the Presentation Schedule always matches Planning Grid, in particular following programme amendments.
- Schedule all on-air promotions and channel branding in line with media plan.
- Following a grid from Media Planning, place all secondary events accurately.
- Create accurate break patterns, commercial breaks and/or opt-outs
- Liaise with commercial traffic department and playout facility
- Manage and resolve scheduling issues on an ad hoc basis.
- Work closely with other departments within the channel management groups and attend meetings as required.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience in a Digital / TV position
- Working knowledge of digital asset management
- Experience using a scheduling software system is essential
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- A methodical approach and great attention to detail
- Able to work in a team as well as self-directed
